Arve Thorvik is an EU affairs advisor, based in Oslo and Brussels.
Arve was previously head of Statoil's Brussels office and in charge of the oil major's dialogue with EU authorities. He has also served as VP of health, environment and safety with Statoil and as a Director of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development in Geneva. Arve has been CEO of the Federation of Norwegian Process Industries and VP International Affairs with the Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise. Previously, he was a career diplomat working for more than 15 years in the Norwegian foreign service, including postings in Nigeria, Switzerland, the United States and the Norwegian Foreign Ministry.
Arve Thorvik holds a Master's degree in political science from Drew University, New Jersey, USA.
