Applications to the health care worker education in Norway have increased for the third year running. Axxept is working with the Norwegian Health Directorate on a nationwide campaign aimed at recruiting young people to this education.
Since the campaign started in 2008, the number of applicants to has increased by 18 %. Today, Health and social care is the largest vocational educational programme in Norwegian high schools. In 2011 8,578 young people applied for the programme.
This year’s campaign focused on young people who are training to be or already practicing as health care workers. Through blog entries they shared their personal experiences from their everyday life working in the health care sector.
