Signy Svendsen (age 46) is joining Axxept as a communications advisor. For the last three years she has been Head of Communications at the Norwegian Nurses Organisation. She also has extensive previous experience from the PR industry.
At Axxept, Signy Svendsen will primarily work on public affairs and public relations assignments.
During her years with the nurses organisation, she had a key role in collective wage negotiations, political processes and positioning of the organisation. Previously she was 14 years in the PR industry, as a consultant and as a General Manager in several agencies. She has also worked as a communications specialist with the Norwegian Socialist Left Party (SV), the Norwegian Municipality Workers Union, the co-operative housing federation NBBL and as a journalist.
She was previously a member Oslo’s City Council, representing SV. Signy Svendsen is a school teacher by education, with additional education in Communications Management at the Norwegian School of Management.
